Sunday will be Landon's second Easter and we are so excited. We got him his first swingset and a few outdoor toys, including a lawn mower that blows bubbles. For his Easter basket, I got him a stuffed bunny and the usual candy - Peeps, a chocolate bunny and some mini M&M's. But the most important gift, the most perfect gift we can give him on the day that celebrates our Savior's resurrection is the word of God. There are so many hopes and dreams I have for our sweet boy's future, but most important to me is that he comes to know Jesus and the gift of salvation.
He's still too small for most of the toddler bibles, but I came across the perfect one on Amazon...The Rhyme Bible Storybook for Toddlers. It has great illustrations and the rhymes are short and fun. It's a great way to introduce him to all the best-loved Bible stories. I can't wait to snuggle up with him at bedtime on Easter evening and read it with him.
As you celebrate Easter Sunday, remember that it's not all about the Easter Bunny. It's really all about HIM... Jesus who died for our sins, then rose again to give us eternal life. If you've never met Him, I hope this is the year that you do.
Happy Easter!
