BOOKS... Oh, I could talk about books all day. I
have always loved to read. Back in my elementary school days, my
favorite book was Noisy Nancy Norris. I checked it out so many times
that our librarian would not let me check it out anymore, as she wanted
me see what else the bookshelves had to offer. And when we went to the
grocery store, mom and dad would shop while I ran to the magazine rack
to see the latest Sesame Street magazine. Yep, that was me. And my
set of Little House on the Prairie books still holds the title of my
favorite Christmas gift.
With books and reading being such a big part of my life, I hope very much that Landon will love to read. He loves our story time and will read his favorite books over and over again. And now that he's almost three years old {sigh}, we're having a lot of fun picking out new books for him. When my niece was younger, one of our favorite books to read together was "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" by Laura Numeroff. It's such a cute book with great illustrations. I love the facial expressions on that little mouse. I'm excited to read it with Landon, along with some other books by Mrs. Numeroff.
Do you want to expand your child's library? Harper Collins sent me some books for Landon and also wants to give some to one lucky reader. The winner will receive five books - If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, Merry Christmas Mouse, If You Take a Mouse to the Movies, If You Give a Pig a Pancake, and If You Give a Moose a Muffin...all in hardback.
