Landon Drives an 18-Wheeler

My mom and sister are in the middle of a kitchen renovation. Their new cabinets were delivered recently...in an 18-wheeler, much to Landon's delight. He loves seeing big trucks and singing along to Alabama's 18-wheeler as he rolls his little arms around, so he was absolutely thrilled to have a "highway" right in the driveway.  The delivery men, a father-son team,  were incredibly nice and Landon took to them immediately. They showed him all around the truck, let him sit in the driver's seat, steer the wheel, blow the horn.  And allowed us to get the cutest pictures. He had a blast! I love the sheer joy on his face.

I'm going over to my mom and sister's house this evening. Mom is making fried green tomatoes. I don't know how it came to be August and I've not had one bite of a fried green tomato all summer. But trust me, I'll make up for it this evening. If you love fried green tomatoes, be sure to try our recipe here. They are soooo good!

Be sure to visit my new sponsor's shop today...Alexander Creative.  This shop is full of great prints, one of which will be the August giveaway. I'll be announcing the details on Friday, so be sure to stop by.

  1. Thanks for reminding me about your fried green tomato recipe! I have been craving those for the last few days, so I'll have to make some up today.

Landon looks so adorable sitting there in that truck! Did I tell you that that's what Chris is doing now? He's driving an 18 wheeler, doing long hauls all over the country. It sucks because we don't see him much, but it's a paycheck and he enjoys it!

  2. Let me know how your tomatoes turn out. I LOVE those things & will probably be sick tonight. LOL

I'm glad Chris enjoys the job. Now I'll be thinking of you all when we sing 18-wheeler. *wink Hope he's able to be home often.

Landon would love for Mike to drive a Kroger truck. I might have to tell him that. LOL
