five on friday

Hooray for Friday! It's been crazy hot here this week and it's supposed to be even hotter tomorrow with the heat index topping out at 105. Where are you September?! No, I'm really not  wishing summer away, even though autumn is my favorite season. We have lots of fun left to squeeze in before it's back to school.  I'm linking up with Five on Friday again this week. Let's get to it!

I got this cute shirt from the Nordstrom early access sale. I think it will be perfect for cool evenings in the fall. Oh, I mentioned fall again! HA... So many other cute things I want, but I'm trying to keep my spending in check.

I finally got around to watching The Forest this week. As far as scary movies go lately, this one was pretty good. MUCH better than The Boy, which was very disappointing.  Now I'm looking forward to Don't Breath coming out next month.

Landon is really in to older cartoons right now, especially The Smurfs.  We love working puzzles, so I've been ordering him some of the old 24 piece puzzles on ebay. I just ordered this one today. I can't wait til it gets here. I've got a few other items in my watch list that I'm going to get him for his birthday.

We've been spending a lot of time at the pool this summer. I spend most of my time lounging on this Float and Roll Air Mat that I found for just $6 at Dollar General. It's so easy to take back and forth and not at all bulky.  I like to pretend I look super graceful climbing up on it. I got the green one and it's such a pretty color.

Since it's going to be so hot this weekend, I'm closing out with a refreshing punch recipe I found over at Christine's Cuisine.  My sister and I never miss a chance to make punch and I know we'll enjoy this over the weekend. Definitely a refreshing treat on a hot day!

  1. I love the smurfs! So fun that he likes older cartoons. And that pool float looks refreshing, nothing better than floating around!

  2. That shirt is THE cutest! It's sold out in my size, otherwise I'd totally get it!
