five on friday

Hooray for Friday! I'm linking up with Five on Friday again this week. Let's get right to it.

I came across this neat idea when I was making my grocery list yesterday. How delicious does this look?!?! What a fun dessert idea for one of my very favorite treats. And I LOVE that you don't have to heat up the oven. I'm going to serve these with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Yum! 

 

I'm totally caught up in season 4 of Wentworth.  It's so good! If  you're not watching, you can catch seasons 1-3 on Netflix. Season 4 hasn't been released in the US yet, but you can find it online. If you like Orange is the New Black, you will LOVE Wentworth.  It's more of a drama than a comedy and so very intense.

Now that my hair is a bit darker, I don't have to go to the salon as much. That's one perk, as it saves time & money. But I still like feeling bright & blond during the summer, so I'm going to give this spray a try over the weekend.  Remember Sun-In? This works the same way - you can use it in the sun or with a blow dryer.

I've been looking for some new books that Landon will enjoy. I am a big Nancy Drew fan, so I'm hoping to come across a set of vintage Hardy Boy books for him in the future. He's still a bit young for them now though, so I was happy to find this series on Amazon. Perfect for the young reader. I'll let you know how he likes them. 

I know I mentioned this last week, but I just can't NOT mention it again. I'm sure everyone has heard by now about the devastating flood that swept through our area last week. We were not directly affected, but it left so many in communities right beside us in complete ruins. Please continue to lift these people up in prayer. It's going to be a long and hard process as they try to put their lives and communities back together. If you'd like to help but don't know how, please reach out to me. I've got a hot movie date tonight. Landon and I are so excited to watch Tom & Jerry Back to Oz. We loved Tom and Jerry & The Wizard of Oz so much and this latest version sounds just as cute. Even if you're not crazy about the original Wizard of Oz, I promise you'll love these. 

Have you tried the Smirnoff Peach Bellinis yet? I got some at the store last week and my sister and I shared one on the porch last night. They are good but a bit strong, so if you're like us and don't drink very often, I definitely recommend sharing! We're planning to have one this evening. Cheers!

 

I got this cute shirt from Nordstrom yesterday. I love the style and how festive it looks for the holiday weekend.  I'm going to pair it with jean shorts and some cute sandals.

 

Are fried green tomatoes on your holiday menu? Take a peek at this baked version. They are DELICIOUS!! And there's no mess and extra fat/calories from frying. Seriously, they are incredible.
